Ive seen a pattern in the redesigned notes... First it was the 50 that got redesigned, than the 20 than the 10, and now the 5... Is the 1 gonna be redone now? Does anyone know when or if it will be redone?

I doubt it... the one dollar bill isn't worth a lot, and doesn't need too many extra measures taken to prevent counterfeiting. The lint, watermark, and strip is enough for the singles.

They have issued a new, redesigned, counterfeit-resistant replacement for the $1 note. It looks like this:
About-1-Dollar About-1-Dollar

This is why you aren't going to get a redesigned dollar note. You were supposed to stop using $1 notes years ago, and use these instead.

I agree with Sap, the dollar note is destined for retirement; the public has just not gotten it yet. Neither has the Federal Government...

Anyone remember the TV ad with "George Washington" talking about the new dollar?

At the end of it, he says "I still look good on paper". A hint that the dollar coin was never intended to replace the dollar bill?

They really should retire the $1 bill. Fiscally, one dollar coins make sense.
