It just looks too good, so my brain is screaming modern Chinese fake. Anybody else?

Yes, too good to be true. The piece resembles the real thing, but it's off just enough to tell an experienced collector and dealer that it is a counterfeit. Here are a pictures of a Type III Silver Three Cent Piece. The date is different, but the artwork is the same.

Here is a photo so people can see it after ebay poofs it, which I hope they do.

Not good, nor even really all that close. This would have been much easier to "pass" if it had a little "wear" on it, then to show it without so much as a single bit of blemish, mark, or tone.

The extremely "flat" aspect of the strike would never be able to bring up the design details in this fashion.

You smelled a dudu and it was a dudu.

I'm sitting here without my copy of Flynn&Zack where FAST WiFi is 2.53Mbps download, 0.40Mbps upload. Way easier to ask you than download PCGS coin facts.

They actually got more of the details right than you give them credit for... the dropped 2nd S in STATES. And the corners of the stars at least point at the right letters. The angles of the star's outlines are slightly past 72 degrees causing a bowing effect, and the letters are off - I'm guessing they took an MS65 1861 as the host coin and tried to clean up the weaknesses by hand. The D in UNITED looks like a spray paint stencil.

The reverse is worse - the diamond at 9 o'clock has the edge details but the orbs look flat. The leaves, berries and arrows are wrong.
