There is no other field damage near the date And the plating is very thin to none with green hues and the rim is unusual there may be some doubling squeeze in United and states the date does look layered help ? Oh it does weigh 2.51

Does the number one in the date contain two sections with the height of each device being equal or does it appear that a stepped-like scenario is going on there?

The 1 is the only thing I see that looks a bit "different".

It may have been a DDO, but it is damaged now. Are any other devices showing a DDO? If not, then it may all just be damage that caused the date to look interesting.
