To start with a quote from health.com: "New Year's resolutions are a bit like babies: They're fun to make but extremely difficult to maintain." Well, my resolutions are to focus only on maintaining my core collection of ATB numismatic and bullion coins while TRYING to ignore all the other stuff mints churn out. I will, however, continue with the following: - Queen's beasts bullion - Privateer HR bullion - Britannia proof coin and proof coin set - the core 1oz silver bullion issues: Perth Mint lunar, Kookaburra, koala & panda - and I will add the two gold Liberty coins from the US Mint to my Mercury dime, but I will wait for another price drop...  Let's see come December 2017 how successful I was... If there is one piece of advice I can give, save for retirement first, then spend money on your hobby. You got to have your priorities right. And no, I do not consider precious metals an investment, although I wouldn't mind them turning into one eventually.

I moved this to the Main Coin Forum for the broader appeal.  My coin resolution for 2017 is to finish the 7070. I added one coin in 2016, but there are still two holes to fill.  I also want to get more slabbed Eisenhower dollars. I finally started that set in 2016 and have three coins total. I would like to add at least three more, but I think eight would be great.

To continue running as I delve deeper into collecting. So easy to miss runs by sitting down and examining interesting coins. Health is of utmost importance and should not be neglected.

Bad knees keep me from running. However, I do manage to walk three to four miles a day at least five days a week.

Downsize, focus, and continue building my Roman Emperor set. I only have maybe 10-20 left that can be purchased for less than $100 per coin; the rest are expensive enough that I may have to limit myself to one per year from here on.
I might not be for 2017, but I am really hoping to eventually obtain both an Alexander the Great tetradrachm, and also an Athenian owl tetradrachm.

@Spence, I have enjoyed acquiring them, but have you *seen* what an XF Gordian II denarius costs? It pains me to say it, but I also probably won't have nearly as much disposable income in 2017. At any rate, I am hopeful to be able to scrape together enough for a full Severan dynasty in silver.
I have also made some actual progress on organizing and documenting some of my 2016 purchases, so you haven't seen the last of me on the Ancients forum.

I hope to finish either the non-circulation or the circulation set of Norwegian kroner coins (excluding gold). That'll be tough enough I think...
