I came across this picture of the building for the First National Bank of Oskaloosa, Iowa on Pinterest recently and decided to research the bank.

Oskaloosa's first national bank was chartered in 1863 and granted charter number 147. The organizers had $75,000 in capital.
The table below shows the denominations ordered by the FNB bankers, the number of sheets ordered and face value of those sheets.

As one can see, the bank issued $69,000 in currency before the bank liquidated on December 17, 1868. None have surfaced.
The building was then occupied by the National State Bank of Oskaloosa which received charter number 1101 in 1865. The bank issued Original Series $5's and $10's as well as Series 1875 $10's before liquidating in 1881. A lone Series 1875 $10 is the only note listed by Kelly.
Oskaloosa National Bank, charter number 2417, was the third institution to occupy the building. Granted a charter in 1879 this institution lasted until January 20, 1932 when a receiver was appointed. Large size $10's and $20's were the only denominations circulated by the bank just over a dozen notes enumerated in the census.
The building itself is still standing and occupied by a clothing store according to Google Earth images.
I hope everyone has enjoyed this ever so brief tidbit.
