Ok, so I decided to learn about bill searching and it's confusing at first, but a lot of fun.

I thought I would post some pics and get some opinions.

If it's a spender, please tell me. If it's cool or unique, tell me as well.

The first one is kind of a low number, (at least for me, haha)

I do have some that are consecutive, but I assume it's pretty common to find in straps.

The next one are 3 with serial numbers starting and ending with the same letter. In this case 'E'.

Then I have 4444 together?

Thank you so much for your help.
I appreciate it.
Cheers,
David

First and last ones I'd keep, probably no additional value, but the rest are spenders.

keep them if you like them, if you are searching straps for cool number you should try to get new bills, the ones you are searching have condition issues..plus I think a low number has too be under a 1000, to really be desirable.

You be the judge! When I started collecting someone told me to spend a particular note that I thought might be collectable. Well I did spend it and after I learned more I wish I would have kept it. Again you be the judge. Good luck hunting.

Thank you everyone, for your opinions and advice.
Is the bank willing to give you new straps? or should you ask them to order them for you?
I've never done this before.
I bank with NFCU.

since these are just 1$, keep what you want. If it were me, I would probably hang on to the first one and get rid of the rest.

Have fun!

It's a challenge to collect paper money from circulating currency, but it can be both fun and rewarding.

You have to handle a lot of cash, and/or have a friend that works somewhere that handles lots of cash.
Most of what you'll see is modern notes. Very rarely will you find red or blue seals, and even then, they are usually at the end of their life span. Collect what you like. I will always encourage collectors to keep what they can afford to set aside, but don't count on it having any premium above face value either now or in the future.

I'm a bit confused about what the OP collects. The group of notes shown have nothing in common, and the first note is neither a low serial number or a keeper in my mind. It has a stain on the upper margin and has poor margins. Do you have any collecting goals @ilzho, or to put it differently, what do you collect ?
