Hi all. Merry Christmas. I am new at this forum and also new as a coin collector. Just wondering if anyone out there has seen a 1942 (Canadian) Newfoundland penny that has the reverse planchette rotated or offset to the obverse. It is only slight but very obvious. How does one get this error graded or valuated. I would send pics but it would only look like I rotated the coin in my hand. Curious

all you need to do is take pictures showing the accurate amount of rotation..we will believe you.

if you feel like you have to definitively prove it than take a picture of the coin in the mirror where we can see one side and the other side's reflection.
Feel free to call me Will.

Quote:
It is only slight

If it is less than 45 degrees it is common and worth little or no premium.
We need pictures, please.

This isn't worth grading. Save your money.

Its like a F12 and fairly common. The slight rotation would only be interesting in a high grade coin of this type.

The degree of rotation in the picture is not enough to add any value to this coin. Definitely not worth grading either with the amount of wear I see.
