That was very interesting, thank you.

My tastes are too specific for anyone to attempt to buy me anything, and one of the coins I bought myself arrived this morning with a very noticeable spot. (The seller fortunately is accepting the return.)

For a specialist collector, any gift that he receives will almost certainly not be exactly what is needed for the collection, unless specific instructions are followed and fulfilled.

For a bullion silver or gold coin stacker, where specialist needs are not as important, a bullion Christmas / birthday gift of bullion may be quite appropriate. Perhaps the same may also apply for new Mint product.
