NNC may call these 70's But it is doubtful that NGC or PCGS would agree

Mint State, Perfect, Proof-like.
NNC is completely untrustworthy.

NNC is not a recognized grading service, just the slabbing subsidiary of Centsles. Been discussed endlessly on this board.

i understand NNC is a worthless grading company. but is there even such a term as ms- pl, in the same sentence ..isn't that a contradiction of terms?

Going through the PCGS Pop report http://www.PCGS.com/pop/default.aspx?t=7 there is only 1 PL70, a 1995 10c (so technically it's a BU/NBU/MS NC rather than a PL). I think I've seen NGC use something like MS PL a couple of times. Possibly riffing off the Charlton MS NC designation?

Quote: is there even such a term as ms- pl, in the same sentence ..isn't that a contradiction of terms? PCGS has used it plenty. An MS coin with "proof"-like qualities has been attributed to plenty of slabs. I also saw a 1973 LB 25c "MS-66 PL" 25 cents ago for something like $12,000. It was a PL coin that remained in mintstate condition. They wanted something like $12,000 for it. It was worth $300.
