CJ, just dirt, these are certified F12 and came from one of the largest dealers in the country.

The mint marks look right to me -- although I'm not an expert. But I have one 1932 S and two 1932 D's -- and that's how they look. I was curious about the MM's when I got mine and they all look a bit tall, like they were stuck on.

Perhaps the MM's were added to the dies by a really aggressive worker.

I've noticed this on a lot of common circulated Washingtons. I wouldn't worry about it.

It is completely normal. My 32-D and 32-S also look like that...
