I know the feathers at the bottom where the wings meet the body are crucial, what are the other areas? Report this Post to the Staff

Cross-eyed Pillar of the Community United States 849 Posts	Posted 12/27/2016 07:36 am Well,I'm No expert,but some markers for a 1878s are...does it have a broken point on the right 4th star of the obverse?Does it have a broken R in IGWT? First I would start a new thread for each coin (less confusion) and post a cropped picture of the whole coin,both sides.Then show any shots,in detail,that you can find.Such as cracks,dots,bumps,or doubling.Then it's just a matter of matching it too one of the VAM #'s.Which is easier said than done.
