So now supposedly in the name of fighting terrorism the EU will crack down on precious metals and cash. They have been discussing similar measures for decades and now apparently have sufficient political cover in fighting terror to try to move forward on what has been their plan all along. People having access to hard assets is not good in the eyes of big government since it makes it harder to manipulate currencies/consolidate political power over your opponents and that is why many world countries are moving towards having everything be digital.

If the EU really wanted to crack down on terror wouldn't they do a better job in vetting migrants for extremist ties and deporting those who are questionable? But no Merkel doesn't want to do that .........

Your thoughts?

Probably best to not rile up the enlightened progressives on this one . They just lost the US election and Brexit so everyone is going to pay one way or the other.
Merkel and her ilk are ruining Europe and now want to make sure they ruin your pocket book as well. The sooner we are rid of her and other weak kneed progressives like Trudeau in Canada the better. If they can't Carbon Tax you to death , they will resort to confiscating your assets to pay for their folly.
My advice keep buying Precious metals and d o not tell ANYONE. The days of a financial reckoning are coming sooner than you think.

Lots of action world wide against cash and PM. India, Argentina and more considering such restrictions under the umbrella of protectionism.

As long as the majority of the "news" media stays as it is, things will continue in the direction of total control.

We live in a world where people will believe sources proven untrue no matter what they say.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. Until people will wise up to things like how quickly the media has jumped all over what they term "fake news," we will continue along the road the of the people who want control desire.

The main problem the power mongers taking over in the US though is the media loathed Second Amendment.

I believe US gold confiscation would have been a lot easier to get passed under the current admin than in a few days from now.
