I bought the coin in Lübeck from a small coin store for 2 € I was really surprised by the price of the coin because it was so cheap normally these coins are much more pricier so I'm a little bit Curious to know if this coin is fake or real.

The weight of the coin is 2,94g

I don't see anything immediately concerning. If you could provide size and weight that would be helpful.

Also, when you present photos, use the editing to cut out the coin and leave the background out of the photo. We can see your coin much better, then.

Much better photos. The surfaces appear to be pretty grainy. That is usually evident for one of two reasons. The first is that the coin suffered some corrosion and when it was cleaned the pits showed in those areas where that corrosion was.

The second reason is from a fake being made by casting the coin rather than it being struck.

Look at the edge of the coin, or show us photos of the edges. If there is any hint of a mold line, or an attempt to remove mold lines then it may be a cast counterfeit.

As it stands the design elements look good, but I don't love those pitted surfaces.

No hint of casting mold lines. From what I can see this looks good. But we have a number of experts that strongly exceed my knowledge on ancients and hopefully one of those folks will chime in.

Most ancient collectors place little value on TPG for their ancients. I'd keep it in a self-seal 2x2 that's air tight and doesn't require staples. At least that is what I do with mine.

There really is no need to send it to NGC, it is not a rare coin and you will be wasting your money. NGC does not certify ancient coins, they just grade them. And not very good IMO. Ancient coin collectors prefer to not have their coins slabbed. If your looking to have the coin certified than send it to David Sear. He will provide a certificate if genuine.

Okay I might just do that instead of sending it to a numismatic company.

Thank you for the advice! echizento
