We were talking about 1936 D 3 1/2 Legged Buffalo nickels. Not 1937 D 3 legged Buffalo nickels.

First off ......

This thread is about the 36D 3 1/2 leg variety. The ebay item you linked to is a 1937-D 3-leg variety.

Both coins share some of the same characteristics of being struck with abraded dies. The Denver Mint was notorious for being aggressive when repairing clashed dies.

I think PCGS has the ebay 1937-D 3 legger labeled correctly.
