Got this 2016 d penny a while ago on the reverse right side of the shield is a line on the out side my guess its part of the shield

The lighting is a little bit dark. Can we get a better picture of what you are referring to?

Its on the out side of the shield its very noticeable in the pic its a line to the right side

To me it looks like coin damage. Note how it reduces the device? It might be Machine Damage or just circulation damage. Either way, no premium for this.

Appears the plating separated from the zinc base and has begun to corrode, changing the color in that area.
