81s notorious for great strikes, and PL reverses, but not obverses. I have one that is borderline DMPL reverse but borderline PL obverse.

The coin has alot of "Chatter" on it but MS gradeable. And remember "Proof-like" refers to how deep you can see into the "fields" not the frosty "devices".

It might just barely be a proof like coin.

It's actually graded PCGS MS 65 CAC, no PL. I'd rather have the PL designation and no green bean. Was $160 too much?

Yes $160 is a decent price.

A Morgan can have a semi proof like surface, but does not have the mirror depth to get the PL designation. These coins are still very attractive. Below is a coin that I own that is very similar with a CAC sticker. I have a number of PL and DMPL coins, but I do not see any need on this coin to upgrade to PL.

Real nice for $160 . Might barely be called a semi-proof like .

Late to the party, but most attractive and a decent price.
