there's only one rpm for 1929 and it's north as these one in " variety-vista " mint mark looks to be in the right place and it has a split on the bottom of the D that's not in the on in variety-vista

Tough call on this one.

It is not the 1929-D RPM-001 that is listed on VarietyVista, the mint mark is too far South, doesn't match location at all.

Do the tops of the devices on the date digits show thing on them? If so, it is machine damage after the strike. (It would be in the same direction as the mint mark alteration?)

the top of the devices doesn't show anything on top of them, that's why I was undecided on rpm or md.

Wexler's site shows two 1929-D RPMs. Neither one of them match yours.
With the split on the lower left corner, it appears to be an RPM, just not one that is listed.
