So I'm currently going through a box of pennies and just remembered that TD bank no longer has the coin counter. How do you cash your coins? Coinstar takes 10.9% of your cash unless you get a gift card which I'm not interested in. I could always roll the coins, but that takes a lot of time to count them out and then roll them. What do you do?

I use coinstar, mine only takes 7.9%. I usually just toss in all of the coins in my car as well, which usually covers the loss (i only use cash, so I get more change than a usual person).

I bring them to bank of America. They bag em and send them out. Takes a few days, but I get the money deposited in my account.

I use CoinStar for an Amazon gift code. There's no fee for that and the code goes right in my account when I get home (where it is promptly spent within a couple of days, most of the time).

I also use the Amazon gift card option on CoinStar. I don't ever seem to have an abundance of money in gift cards and if you are only doing cents it won't add up too quickly.

Coinstar Amazon gift card for me as well. This ends up being the cheapest option besides re-rolling them for the bank.

The banks I use take them. One has a counter and the other bags and sends off to be counted.

I normally use my local credit unions coin machines. Sometimes I'll use coinstar for GameStop gift cards as I am also an avid video gamer too.

I use the Amazon gift card option. I just purchased some storage boxes for my PCGS slabs at a big discount. Also, I buy candy, music, auto parts, camping equipment, etc,... Like weeds19 I only hunt cents so it doesn't add up to a lot.

For me, I was told my local bank does not accept rolled coins, only loose, because they will be instantly thrown into a sorter anyway. I'm sure each bank has their preferences. I've thought about Coinstar, but have never tried the gift card option. Now though, I could use an Amazon gift card. Quote: "I buy candy" From Amazon? Sorry, I thought it was a funny addition to the list. I've never searched for that, but maybe they have some great deals.

Go to a bank who wants your money. They won't charge you a penny whether you roll your coins or don't.
