I just got this Texas 50c in the mail today. On closer inspection I noticed a few spots on the coin that didn't show up in the seller's photos. I'll probably end up returning it which is a real bummer because it looked to be exactly the coin I needed for my set. But these coins are plentiful enough that I can afford to be highly selective, I suppose.

Would a spot this small bother you or am I just being too picky? And would something like this hurt the value of the coin?

The biggest spot is raised quite a bit off the coin.

I wouldn't have noticed anything if you didn't point it out.
Rest in Peace

If you are a "white" collector, this is noticeable enough to have a few of those folks not bid on a coin with this type of spot.

Picky collectors always look for a reason not to bid.

As you said, this is not a tough coin to get, even up to the 66 grade.

I'd return it myself, but unless it was hidden in the original photo I wouldn't give the seller a hard time or anything other than a positive review.
