Found this coin roll hunting, and I'm almost 100% sure it is a doubled die. The date and IGWT seem larger and I made comparison photos with another 1985 cent. I looked at VarietyVista, CopperCoins, and Wexler and I can't find any with matching doubling/markers. What do you think?

The normal coin is on top while the coin I found is on the bottom.

Does not look like a doubled die to me. The wider look of the date and lettering could be due to circulation wear or a slight Grease Filled Die.

. There isn't anything that would qualify it as a keeper.

It really isn't anything? The bottom of the E in WE looks much larger than usual and it doesn't look like wear.

I guess I might be wrong.

It doesn't take much wear to make them look wider. On the die the letters are narrower the deeper they are in the die. On the coin they appear narrower, but as the coin wears the top of the letters becomes wider.

It does look a bit like the 1985P-1DO-006:

The 'WE' and date are a bit larger in size. Note on the last image the right side of the 8 is larger. So it might be this one. You did check for markers with this coin? While it is true that the tops of the devices are flattened a bit, the base of the devices are larger.

Coop, I did look at that one and didn't see the markers when I did. I will double check when I get home, I didn't notice the doubling was so similar on that one.

It is always good to put more eyes on a coin. I was in the camp as the others until I saw the 'E'. But fave it a look on CC's for the doubling there. Found that one.

Finally got around to send this one to Wexler and got the results back today!:

Coin #2 is 1985 1¢ WDDO-004 which is a new listing for my files.
