Could someone give me an idea of the grade of these 2 coins " 1861 New-Brunswick, One Cent, W/ Planchet break on Rev. ("New Brunswick" and "Cent") and slight die crack mid center at 7 o'clock, also W/ large die crack on lower obverse at 6 o'clock.

1864 New Brunswick, One Cent, Tall 6, W/ large die crack on bottom reverse at 7 o'clock, also with a die warp on Queens forehead, might be?

Much appreciated,

Thank you very much for any answer(s)!

I don't think EF-45 and VF-30 are out of line. Both nice examples with some lovely original patina.

Thanks every one for your answers. By the way this wasn't a trick question I'm really perplex on the grade of my coins here. Why I asked the question is that I just stumble on these 2 coins I have in my collection, which are the only one I have from early NB, but really don't have any examples to compare them to.

Personally I don't concentrate on early Canadian Provincial coin. I do more collect Canadian decimal circulation coins from the 1859 to now... I try to stay away from RCM collector product but I do have some. I still think that since RCM started to get in the Collector Coins business, those coins are like any other collectible articles and don't consist in really in coins. Nobody never bought themselves a coffee with a 5$ Maple leaf or any other Commemorative coins minted only for collection purposes, seriously?

To come back to my subject it seems that every one agreeing that the 1864 Tall 6 is in the vicinity of VF30/35 but for the 1861, the range is far greater from EF40 to AU50... I still will have to narrow down the 1864.

Thanks for the Welcome CoinFrog!
