My second theme for 1924 is the glorification of labor in the early Soviet-union.

One rouble (silver, same specifications as the Imperial Russian rouble)

A last theme for 1924 is hyperinflation. Whereas the 'good for' coins in France, Belgium and Italy indicate an initial loss of purchasing power to about a fifth of their pre-WW-I value (about 1/10 in Romania) this only is a minor problem compared to that in Germany or Austria. The Austro-Hungarian Krone had been replaced by different currencies in the new independent states of the former empire. In the Austrian republic the Krone slid to 1/10000 of its pre-war value, yet it stabilized by 1923 (contrary to Germany). Large denominations were coined. Here 200 Kronen and 1000 Kronen:

200 Kronen with the small zeroes, thereby paving the way for its replacement by a new 2 groschen coin (same size and metal).

The 1000 Kronen were replaced by new 10 groschen coins in 1925 with an identical obverse.

Belgian 5, 10 and 25 Centimes. The holed copper-nickel coins that circulated for decades (since 1902). The 25 centimes coin was withdrawn only in 1967 after small (16mm) Cu-Ni coins replaced it.
