I have this 1955 Wheat penny that has a weird line in the hair. It is not in the best of shape so I assumed it was formed from just wearing down on the penny. If anyone could help me it would be appreciated.

Looks to be a Die Crack and a pretty decent one. Sometimes they are nicknamed "Cracked Skulls". It also appears that there may be a die crack between the D in GOD and the W in WE on your first coin. Really nice photos too.

I agree, it looks like a retained interior die break (RIDB) like Coop said.
Here is a site that lists them, but I don't see yours on there. http://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-ce...k-1909-1958/

Nice find!

It looks like a neat die crack. In other words, good, not bad.
