Some time ago I posted a series of 12 1943 Lincoln wheat cents all with possible Cuds. Many drew comments and some folks speculated about which were Cuds and which wouldn't qualify. Well, now you can check your answers.

JC was kind enough to look over all these coins and make the final determination on each one. So here I present the answer key to the 12 coin series. Each coin was merely given a number, and so the series ran #1 - #12. This number is referenced in the subject line of each post so searching the forum for 1943 will quickly bring up a list of all these posts and they are easy to know which is which by number.

#1 Fail - not a Cud but a rim-to-rim die crack
#2 Listed - Two Cud coin: RCD-1C-1943-40, RCD-1C-1943-41R
#3 Listed - RCD-1C-1943-42
#4 Verified - RCD-1C-1943-04
#5 Fail - not a Cud but a rim-to-rim die crack
#6 Fail - not a Cud but a rim-to-rim die crack
#7 Fail - Too weak to be classified as a Cud
#8 Listed - RCD-1C-1943-43R
#9 Fail - not a Cud but rim-to-rim die crack
#10 Listed - RCD-1C-1943S-44
#11 Listed - Two Cud coin: RCD-1C-1943-45, RCD-1C-1943-46R
#12 Listed - Same die as #11 (die marker verified)

And two coins I found later and weren't posted here have also been listed. So 1943 went from 39 Cuds to 48 Cuds quite recently.

HUGE thanks to JC for putting in all the work to figure out this series and list the coins.

Rest in Peace
