1993-D Nickel With Yellowing And What Appears To Be Thin Lettering

RickTheRuler New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 01/06/2017 03:42 am Hello Coin Community, this is my first post so I'm sorry if this is not posted in the right section. I found a 1993-D Nickel with yellowing and some thin lettering. I have searched this forum and tried to google it but can't seem to find an answer, so I'm looking for your advice. Is this an error coin and if so any idea of the value? Thanks in advance for the help and hopefully I'll get better at posting as I become more active, just started to collect and very excited to learn more and more. The yellow look to your coin seems to be circulation toning and the thin letters looks normal to me. Have you compared the coin in question to an identical coin,date-mint mark and condition? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/06/2017 10:08 am If the die is over polished a lot, the devices will get thinner. Sometimes on just one area, other times on all devices. One way to tell for sure is to do a side by side with the same year/mint mark to see if the design was thinner, or it the die was altered.
