I've been extremely fortunate to acquire this beauty.

According to ICCS population report, there are at most 8 graded,

possibly making this the rarest of the 50 cents series.

Very nice. How did you acquire that beauty and what did it set you back?

that's quite a beauty C-V!! absolutely love it..sometimes i'll see 1967 $1 and 50 cent examples double struck, sold in past auctions etc. that were called triple struck, which aren't..even one or two in ICCS holders if I recall correctly..but this one, this one is an outstanding triple struck! well done.

also lets please not make this another thread about how it's a back door/not real error etc..we see that enough, lets enjoy C-V sharing his coin with us.

Rest in Peace

A really stunning coin. I can't believe anyone wouldn't love a coin like that in their collections. Congratulations.

you're absolutely right thedollarman...I've seen this too, both in past Heritage Auctions auctions as well as Torex, etc on Icollector.

I've only seen 4 true Triple Struck examples in all the databases of past auctions.
