Hi, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I am currently cleaning out my deceased fathers house and I came across a bunch of old coins. I haven't looked at them all yet but one stuck out because it was so small, so I did some googling. This appears to be a Half Dime draped bust heraldic eagle, but one thing has me confused. I read that there were none minted in 1804 but the date on this is 1804. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry, but it is a fake. As you have already mentioned, none were produced in 1804. The design looks wrong. Compare it to this from the CCF Coin Facts page

I had a feeling that was the case. It was too out of place. The only shiny one among dirtied and worn down coins. Oh well, better luck with the rest hopefully. Thanks.
