Got this today at a self checkout. It was left in the change dispenser so finders keepers... Completely smooth edge.

looks like someone sanded the reeding away. How wide is the coin?

So the question is whether or not this coin was broadstruck? The edge is too sharp for it to be a genuine broadstruck error. But photos of the faces would be needed to confirm.
