I sold this one a couple days ago, but I don't think my other shillings had the same reverse. Just wondering.

Copper nickel issue. Scottish (not English) reverse.
Produced with 'IND.IMP" in 1947 and 1948 only.
In 1949 coins 'IND.IMP' was omitted, when India left the British Commonwealth.

They're not very difficult to obtain. There are 3 versions with that reverse from 1937-1951.

1937-1946 KM#854
1 Shilling - George VI (Scottish crest; with "IND:IMP")
Silver (.500) - 5.65 g - ø 23.5 mm

1947-1948 KM#864 (Composition changed)
1 Shilling - George VI (Scottish crest; with "IND:IMP")
Copper-nickel - 5.65 g - ø 23.5 mm

1949-1951 KM#877 (Obv legend changed)
1 Shilling - George VI (Scottish crest; without "IND:IMP")
Copper-nickel - 5.65 g - ø 23.5 mm

Below is the English arms design. I believe it is the same as the information provided by Nevol other than catalog numbers and a different coat of arms.
