The reverse weakness is cause by the lack of pressure from the obverse die where the missing metal could not press that area to forum. A genuine sign that it is a real Cud. Nice find.

Thank you everybody for all the great information! I've wondered about this coin for years!
When I first got it there was no information about it whatsoever so I just forgot about it.
Yesterday for some reason Instarted thinking about it and figured I'd try to see if there was any new information about it but I just didn't know where to start. Then I found this forum!
You guys are a wealth of information! Thank you!

Not a silly question -- took me awhile to find it.

Below the last post of the thread there is a banner ad. Below that is a row of options. Select: Reply to Topic.

On the next screen, above the box where you'd enter a message you'll see options. In the Format row, select the icon that looks like a piece of paper with a red arrow pointing to the right.

Then go and select what you want to insert, copy and paste. How you do that depends upon your computer.
