It sure looks like a LD copper 1982D that someone saved from further damage from the street!

In that condition - the only thing I would do with that coin - is spend it.

If it is copper, and it looks like it is, then it is technically worth more than face.....
About .02 at today's copper price.

Cool,i do appreciate the advice but ive got several of these types of coins that are close to the real rarity of what I'm hoping to find in my lifetime. so I'm just going to put this one in a collection of mine that I like to call "hopefully buttt probably nots" lol after all- several of these finds out of 10s of thousands of coins that ive searched that I got excited about is rare enough for me lol. just teasin guys but thanks for the responses.
