Not doubling. Possibly a die chip?

Looks like damage to me. Maybe it got scrapped from the top of the 7 downward.

I'm thinking it is a chip. Note how the MD is on the upper left side of the devices? that happened after the strike. You can see it pressing SE on the NE side of the die chipped area.
