I should also add that I've searched the forum and found some threads about the date, but nothing on the reverse side.

Quote: Split plating is the beginning for the the end for the copper plated zinc cents. Just a spender. No need to clean it. The reverse split plating can be seen on the outside edge of the devices and sometimes on the outside of the Memorial on the columns. Thank you, coop. Thanks again, everyone. I actually found a 1980 P DDO today. I was running late for a meeting this evening and couldn't get good pictures but this is what I do have.
