Kennedy Half's with wide rim? What coin terminology would be used to refer to these two coins?
Thanks
Anthony

The 1972-S is a proof coin. The 1983-P is a business strike coin. It is in nice condition. A keeper. Why? The 1982 & 1983 did not have mint sets those years. There was an opportunity to get mint sets, but you had to get them from each mint. They were not put together those years and sold. So BU coin from that year is harder to get BU coins for collections. So the quarters & halves in very nice condition are a premium for these years. (collectors often buy mint sets to fill in the BU coins in their collections) So save the great coins you find from these years. (even BU rolls if can get them)

The 1983P obverse looks slightly misaligned. The reeding in the rim at 10:00 may show a possible collar clash.

The 1972S seems a bit out of round. The image might be at a slight angle along with the lighting and shadows tricking my eyes.

Might check the edge for any collar anomalies if so. Remember (especially on nice specimens) to handle coins by the edge so to not risk leaving finger prints in the field. Gloves are another option. Thanks, Doug.
