I believe it's authentic but based on the picture of the obverse it appears to be harshly cleaned. I would message the seller and ask for more pics. It looks like it's vF-35 details.

Bad fake, typical disconnected leaves in branch, etc. Worth about nothing.

Adam: I think I see what you're saying. Are you talking about the leaf on the obverse held by liberty that is not connected to the branch?

Ok, well, a lot of agreement here. I looked up some websites that indicate typical identifying attributes of fakes. I'm not necessarily seeing those here. It appears there is consistency with a Type 2 obverse and a Type 2 reverse for this date.
Aside from paralyse, who else can tell me why they believe it is a fake?
Thank you.

This one has "disconnected leaves in branch" and is apparently authentic.

I would ask the seller for the weight of the coin before making a purchase. I am not seeing anything obvious that makes the coin a counterfeit. I found another coin in a PCGS holder that did not have a stem connecting the bottom leaves. The Craig coin is a best VF Details Cleaned. If genuine, would have a value around $100. There is something that does not look right about the Craig coin. The first S in STATES is totally different. Craig coin: PCGS coin:

I enlarged the view in the Craiglist seller photo and the S appears to be fine, without physical inspection, photos is not good enough for Trade dollars.

Another area on the Craig coin that would give me concern would be the eagle's tail feathers. When viewing the Craig coin the right side tail feather does not tuck into the feathers above as the right tail feather goes to the outside. It could be a scratch or a counterfeit error.

Cleaned but looks fine to me. If you meet him, take a magnet and your scale.

I seems clear from the obverse pic that it's been cleaned. I just don't see the upside here, especially buying it raw.

The date position looks off on the Craigslist coin. Is this normal?
