Hey guys, I need help with determining if this is a fake or not. Sounds and feels like silver, has nice weight definitely doesn't seem or feel fake but I noticed a strange detail in the year. Its an 1824/2 quarter but if you look closely on the "2" it resembles that of the 2 from the half dollars and dimes. The 25c pieces have swirly 2;s. Any help would be much appreciated would like to save the money on getting it graded and comes out fake thanks.

I don't see any documented 4 over 2 varieties with the knob on the 2. They are all swirled and pointing up.

A fake, which was purchased (probably recently) on the site that shall remain unnamed. The coin here is identical to the ones being sold there. Oh. And Welcome, by the way!

I would like to have a photo of the reverse to put in my counterfeit file. I speak to local clubs about this issue now and then.
It is a decent looking fack. The crooks (probably Chinese) picked out a date of which there is only one known die variety, so that made detecting it easier.
