BmoreCoin4Cash New Member United States 37 Posts	Posted 01/20/2017 11:01 am Stilling working on my knowledge so I could use some help. 1982 D looks like a shift of the planchet, maybe? But the reverse is most in question and I'm not sure what to take of it. The inside of the A looks double, slightly on the M, and the E (lower edge) and middle of the R. Probably just me reaching and a bad eye for these things. I have pictures and different angles to insure that it's not just a shadow. Great, now I have to go check the coin acronym list to find out what LDS means. MD is medium date, correct? If it is, what does that have to do with the lettering? Could someone explain, please? When this happens the zinc under that area is exposed and starts to deteriorate. This also happens on outside devices often on the reverse of the coin. This is not a good thing as the coin will eventually keep breaking down. (I put these back into circulation as this will continue to get worse with time) Report this Post to the Staff
