With the release of the $5 bill, the United States is one step closer to having a matching set of currency. There is a redesign of the $100 that is coming soon (in a year I think?), but of course the $1 and $2 bills won't be redesigned.

PLEASE, I hope the next series of currency is done all at once.

I hope they would just stop printing the $1 and $2 so that the dollar coin will circulate. But that is just me!

Although new $1 and $2 would be awesome, I think they should stop making them and let the coins start circulating. I'm so tired of the paper $1

Well, they shouldn't stop printing the $2 bill. If they did, then you would need up to 4 dollar coins in change per transaction. Getting rid of the dollar bill would mean that it would be replaced by the $2 bill in that slot in the cash drawer.

Or, maybe they could make a $2 coin like Canada.

even though I am a coin collector mostly I still think I would rather have the 1 dollar bill instead of the 1 dollar coin, I can't stand having a pocket full of change anyhow. I can have 100 1 dollar bills in your pocket and it doesn't make my britches fall down, if I have 100 dollar coins you can bet mine will be around my knees every time I try to walk

50 $2 bills would take up even less space. You could even fold that.
