I haven't had time to coin roll hunt and I miss it. I have been uber driving in the mornings and guess who was in my car this morning! The president of PCGS. HA! It was fun to share my love for pennies and hear his story too. Really nice guy.

Anyway, I still stink at determining the difference between double die and machine dbling. And, even though I haven't been able to coin roll hunt, I still check my change. What do you say about this one...

Looks like a quarter. LOL Note the reduction of the devices on some on the left sides of them. The first clue? Note the 'D' on GOD? Note the left side of the device is thinner that the right side of the same device? That is device reduction caused by the die movement after the strike. If it were a doubled die, usually sever of the devices would be affected the same. Not some an other next to them not affected.

Here is a 1962 normal motto compared with a DDO motto. It looks like someone pumped up these devices. But note, they are pretty all affected. This doesn't always happen, with you don't see one normal and one reduced, the the example you posted. You will get there. It will all click and you'll have it someday.
