This coin has some areas of question on the MM. It has raised areas and just doesn't seem right. This might be MD,but the areas that are raised just seemed weird to me. Thanks for looking and all advice is greatly appreciated!

just finished my first box of LMC and never seen anything like that? I'm just a N006 though..

Looks like a contact mark on the mint mark as well on the 88 as well. The mint mark should be rounded, not flattened:

I see this quite often on the Zinc cents, sometimes it covers most of the devices, not just the mint mark. I'm not sure what causes it, but I think it is due to the Zinc deteriorating beneath the Copper plating, which allows the plating to collapse leaving a flattened out part of the design.
It would not be considered a mint error, it is environmental damage to the coin.
