That would be fun. Not like many people carry coins for commercial purposes.
Rest in Peace

Read the other petitions on this site. Funny thing about these, especially the one @ emoulement clause. They're all wrong about the laws in extent now. 1) hemp growing is a state issue, not federal or executive branch. 2) the emoulemnt clause was not about business gains...the fumbling fathers were all farmers/ranchers/businessmen who even while President, received income from their businesses. This is regarding gifting from foreign entities, governments. Pres Trump has even directed any payment to his hotels/properties from foreign persons go directly to US Treasury. These "dudes" gotta get a grip!
There's a lot of enacted laws (Congress) passed @ US Tender, Nixon (I think) got us off the gold standard, etc.

Now, my son-in-laws' brother did pay his dental bill in silver eagles a few months ago...dentist was more than happy to take them in leiu of cash! Maybe there would be a market for it, albeit quite small (gold).

Politicians do not want constitutional money (silver or gold) because they would be unable to fund our "welfare and warfare" state with sound money. With sound money our foreign adventures policing the world would have to stop and our massive government spending would have to stop. I am not sure the American people could take the pain that such a change would entail. Heck, it seems they can hardly handle a snow storm nowadays. Civility is long gone in many places. It seems that if the money is corrupted eventually the society becomes corrupted from within. I wonder if a return to sound money would help stop our national decline a bring back some decency and common sense to our nation?
