1999 Wide AM Penny They Are Touching

Jenniescuts New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 01/25/2017 2:45 pm Hi everyone. So I've been coining since I was a kid. I just enjoy it. I'm more of old coins then new. However, I buy rolls of pennies, then relax and check them out. I have a 1999 shiney pretty penny and noticed that the AM in America are touching. Any worth on that at all? Druu Pillar of the Community United States 1000 Posts	Posted 01/25/2017 4:14 pm If the A and M are touching, it is a Close AM, which is normal for 1999 cents. The desirable Wide AM has a gap between A and M, plus the designers initials are closer to the memorial. After looking at the AM, I look for the serif on the G in the designer's initials -- that makes it a WAM. Like everyone else said, please post a picture of it.
