I've been seeing "project (large number here) " popping up everywhere. So, I've decided to create my own.

Welcome to

Project $1k!!

This project is for pennies only , however, not just any pennies. Wheat pennies, and any penny found CRH that are before 1958. The goal is $1,000 in wheat, Canadian, and Indian pennies found CRH only.
I don't know.... just an idea.

The other Project threads are about spending. Are you intending this to also be spent wheat cents or found wheat cents?

A thread was tried for Lincoln Cents spent. Here is one of the attempts:
Project 10K

We have one for Lincoln Cents found:

Sounds good, only one flaw. Say someone was from Canada. They would find lots of Canadian pennies, if they aren't thrown out already. I would reconsider what the criterea would be, so you wouldn't have to exclude those from Canada, not that I'm suggesting that or anything. Maybe you could say pre-1959 or something like that. It would include wheat pennies, and older coins from Canada, so then there is an even playing field.

Found 60 or so King George VI pennies, around 250 Young Queen Portrait pennies, and 2 King George V pennies. (Canada). Found 48 wheat pennies. (US)

We would prefer to keep the denomination finds to their respective threads. To allow this one would just have duplicated posts. I hope you understand.
