I recently found a penny in a coin roll, it has a total of 6 die cracks on it , five on the back and one on the front.it has a crack at each corner of the memorial and one up from top center and lincolnn is kind of just a spiral looking blob. is this common to have that many die cracks on one coin? I thought it was a cool coin to keep.

the coin is a 1983 and has a very nice shine and is in great shape other than the cracks I will post images as soon as I can figure this out

 to the family!. Will wait for pix, hard to even guess but remember, the 83's are zincolns, what you described as "blobby" maybe air bubbles under the thin copper coating. The die cracks could be air trails as well or for real. Guess its coin on for more finds and questions! We'll wait  Edited by Crazyb0

I uploaded two pics to the post it said it was succesfiul but I don't see them ill work on this tomorrow time to get some rest ,thanks for the time to reply and I will be back

to CCF. Keep trying with the pics. From your description it sounds like a "spike head" die crack on the obverse,kinda common and on the reverse all the die cracks are in common areas for the Lincoln Memorial cent. Keep if you like but no premium for it. Will wait for pics,good luck. John1  |

I've seen a many as 9 on the obverse on the wheat cents:  The number 9 is n the neck area. These are still small yet at this point in time. |
