Hello, I am interested in good world bullion series...not in the bullion is bullion frame of mind, but to satisfy my urge to collect. I have listed all the series I am either collecting or in some cases are on my radar to collect. I am wondering if others have suggestions that I might pursue (assuming the meet the principles I list below, of course, haha) Principles: Interested in 1 oz silver. No gold, no copper, etc. Generally no other size except 1 oz. I have three exceptions so far: Canada 3/4 oz and Canada 1.25 oz and Great Britain 2 oz.) I am not interested in proof, not interested in colorized, and not interested in anything except silver bullion BU (except Tokelau Lunar, which is reverse proof, but I already started it, so I make an exception) Series needs to last at least 2 years, or starts in 2017 and is intended to be at least 2 years. No single one off coins. I generally list below only the straight up bullion version when counting how many there are needed to be complete. I do not double count for the privy and no privy of each year, or other special extra variations (with a few exceptions, such as 25th anniversary Maple Leaf in 2013). There were some great lists made here on CCF back in 2014-2015 that were pointed out to me and were great references, but so many new series have exploded in 2016 and 2017, that I fear I might be missing some of the new ones. List: In the list above, it takes 410 coins to be caught up through 2017. I am nowhere near that yet, mostly because I have not really started Australia at all. I am sure I am missing plenty and love to hear about it. Generally, I feel there isn't enough attention on this area of collecting. It is caught between circulating coin collecting and bullion stacking, but isn't either. If you want to post pictures, that is awesome too! Edited by crazyglue 01/26/2017 06:50 am

When we started collecting in 2013, my wife and I decided to do a couple of these series. We haven't gone backwards (pre-2013) for many of them, but have kept up to date on the Chinese Pandas, Australian kookaburras, and American Silver Eagles. We've bought a few older pieces (such as the 2007 koala) but nothing in spectacular condition. We appreciate the list though, gives us other stuff to keep an eye out for.

That's a great list, Crazyglue. I can't think of a thing you've missed although I'm sure there must be more. If you explore past series there are many from the 1970s that might qualify, although the series were not meant as bullion.
You need to spend a few hours with the Krause - World Coins catalogue.

Great list. Some of the series (imo) less appeal as standalone series (but nicelly comes with worldwide collection) due to never-changing design like ASE, Philharmonics, Noah's Arch. Ukraine - did they issue the coin for more then one year? In your list, for Australia it should be RAM and not RCMAddition:There is amazing series that doesn't appear in the list: Isle of Man "Cats" - issued annually from 1988 - every year different cat breed appears on the coin (the breed actually repeats sometime, but never the design). Added: Sorry, I not sure, that "Cats" has a silver BU version...looks like it Silver Proof or CuNi coins.

Thanks everyone for your comments! I will check out the Isle of Man Cats, sounds great. I am not opposed to proof designs, as I broke my own rule with the reverse proof lunar. My real goal is avoid paying too much over melt. Most have some sort of premium over melt, even ASE does, but proof coins often carry double, triple or more over melt, so I have avoided them. But I am rule breaker anyway, so they might go on the list. I will update my excel spreadsheet to indicate RAM instead of RCM, not sure why I did not catch that. Ukraine has issued every year 2011 through 2016. I have 2012-2016 and my 2011 is on its way currently. I have not seen 2017 yet, but am keeping my eye out for it.

@crazyglue - this area of collecting is my absolute favorite!! I started picking up just a this and then a that and before I knew it I had a nice collection started. I will never own everything on the list but I have quite a few series going. Thanks for taking the time to get this info together. There was a man named Patrick but I forget his member name that had a beautiful collection of world bullion but I don't see him post anymore. He helped me track down a map like his and he was so nice!! In 2015 Ireland started 1 oz. silver clover. I don't know exactly why but the price really went up when the 2016 version came out. It was nice to have a new country in the mix. Here is a picture of it:

Yes, look for the poboxw thread on 1 oz. World Bullion for sure. Just a quick observation on your amazing list. Canada - Birds of Prey I think there were just 4 of them and the Canada Predator Series, I got an email today that the second one is coming out. It's a Lynx

I had some time so I looked up his thread. He lives in Ontario but hasn't posted since Jan of last year. I read later he sold his owl to fund another purchase. Check it out..... http://goccf.com/t/110429&whichpage=1

Actually it's been 2 years...January of 2015 since he posted. I miss him. Here is my version of the world bullion map. Not the greatest pic tho. One of these days I will collect my bullion coins from lock up and take some fresh pics of my collections. I have a few complete and several more sets started.
