Hello, Got this "Choice BU" from a notorious ebay seller who shall remain nameless. I know better but those doctored pics looked so good. Anyway, to me it's a details coin because of the hairlines and the area on Liberty's cheek that seems to have had a spot removed. Pictures do highlight the scratches but they are there. What do you think? Thanks for your opinions.

Yes looks AU cleaned. This has a nice strike though.

Scratches probably from the cleaning - I would return it. BU only if it meant "buffed Up"

AU-58 , traces of wear and hairline scratches ,but not a details coin .

AU details. I dont think it was whizzed however it was cleaned with something abrasive and most likely will receive an Improper Cleaning designation. Return it

AU58. Could go either way in terms of being details designated or not. Looks cleaned to me. Agree it has a nice strike probably from an early state die which is desirable because the dies wore very quickly.

Agree high AU details. Why did you take a chance with this guy if you knew his reputation?

The sharpness grade is AU-58 with a spot removed. You picture taken at an angle shows off the spot removal dig quite nicely.
