Hi guys, I'm new member to this forum. I collect coins from all over the world with cat / cat family design on them. Base metal, meant for circulation, commemorative, tokens, fantasy coins. Some are really beautiful and it got me hooked. It would be great to know there is someone out there who thinks collecting tokens and fantasy coins are OK... Or coin collecting doesn't end with silver coins or 1 coin from each country of the world (that was a feeling from the last coin fair).
My personal opinion is that we all collect differently... for me that isn't tokens and fantasy, but it isn't one from each country either. I tend to put together groups of coins based on type, theme or origin. Don't let anyone tell you that you are doing it wrong though, you make your own goals.
As for cats, I love the real kind ^^ we have 3 devon rex cats, they are naughty but nice.
Thank you all for warm welcome. DavidUK - wow, 3 cats! Never a boring day. Thank you for motivation and telling your collection principles. It would be interesting to see how you organise/ display it. Twinkinator - yes, I have all of them. This series is definitely one of the kind.
I use a fair range of techniques to store and display, as you would expect from someone who has collected 30 years... these video's might be some clue though...
