to the family!

What you have is a zincoln with zinc rot. When pressed in dies, the thin copper plating around devices (bust, digits, etc) sometimes split letting air and other corrosives in, hence deterioration. This happens rapidly on the zinc underneath. Its a spender, but won't last very long in circulation compared to the coppers!

Zinc rot and a hit to the T? A Cud extends inwards from the rim of the coin.
