I don't know if it's been done before, but I'm interested in submitting to ANACS, but I don't have enough coins to take advantage of their submit X coins for $100 special. If a local person is submitting, perhaps a group CCF submission could be pieced together? Each person would pay their prorated portion of the fees. I know I'm probably one of the most junior members, so I'd hand off my coin to a reputable, more established member near me. Obviously, one would have to be careful who they deal with, but I have no problem trusting some of you veterans. Obviously, most of you big time guys could probably fill up a submission with your own collection, or you might go a tier higher with PCGS or NCG, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks in advance.

If you only have a coin or two to submit, it's usually easier just to use any local coin shop that has a good reputation. Or if you know a good vest-pocket dealer who might even submit more than the LCS.

Thanks for the responses. I've not established a relationship with any local coin store yet, so I'm not quite sure which are reputable. Is the fee LCS charge usually much more that their actual cost? I've also learned here that a coin isn't worth getting slabbed unless its value exceeds $200. I don't exceed this threshold, which is why I wanted to go with the cheaper ANACS option.

I'll also have to admit to not knowing what a vest-pocket dealer is. I've seen the phrase, but I certainly don't think I've met any of those yet.

I can submit coins to ANACS for a fee of $10 per coin for you. I am a part of the Denver Coin Club and they do a special. I got my coins back on the "15 day service" in 4 business days. Turn on your email though!

Emails enabled, coin197! It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get to that option in settings.
