A while ago someone stated a topic where state cents were discussed. I said that my father had a set somewhere and I was going to get pictures. However when I went to look for it I couldn't find it. I was talking to my grandfather today who also has one. He pulled it out for me and said that I could take it to scan it. I couldn't find the previous topic and so I have started this new one. Cool, are all of them the same date in that set? I've found 8 while roll hunting but the dates are all over the place.

I found a HI one in a $25.00 about a year ago. I wondered why someone did that, and now I know. I will have to get a picture one of these days

I hope to inherit one of these completed sets one day. My grandfather was actually the one who got me interested in collecting coins. I'm amazed by how much cool stuff he has and he's always saving stuff that he finds in change for me. He's not into darkside coins and gave me all the ones that people have brought back from trips for him. My dad's not really into coin collecting but has several things that my grandpa has given him.
Oh and a little more background on this. It's framed and came with a deck of cards that had information about each state. There was a holder on the frame that the cards fit into. I'm not sure if my grandpa made the frame or if it was sold that way. My grandpa taught history and this frame was bolted to his classroom wall for a very long time.

Nice one really - thanks for sharing the photos. People like your grandpa just makes coin collecting more educational and I'm glad there are awesome people like him that shares the passion with you. These days, it's becoming quite uncommon.
